Jessica C. Smythe is a Medicare Secondary Payer compliance consultant with ISO Claims Partners. Prior to joining ISO Claims Partners, Jessica was a workers’ compensation defense attorney.

Jessica is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer on the subject of Medicare compliance, including the impact of Medicare compliance on claim handling and litigation management. She also writes a bimonthly column, “Medicare Matters,” for Claims Management Magazine and was awarded the designation of CLMP (Certified Litigation Management Professional) in October 2012. Jessica also holds the designation of CMSP (Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Act Professional). 

Jessica is a graduate of Meredith College and the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Campbell University. TRACY HURST has been with Ruby Tuesday, Inc. for 12 years where they self administer their general liability program and portions of the workers compensation. She is the Litigation Manager and therefore responsible for all general liability litigation through the continental United States, holding adjustor licenses in multiple states, as well as wearing the Custodian of Records hat. Tracy is on the Board of Directors for the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA) and co-chaired NRRDA’s 2012 Annual Conference. She is also working with a committee to expand the workers compensation presence in NRRDA. She is a Tennessee State Chair for CLM, and most recently, was named Vice-President and Treasurer of the Smoky Mountain Country Music Association.

Kris Best is currently Managing Director of Clinton & Clinton for the Atlanta, Birmingham and Nashville locations. Before joining Clinton & Clinton, Kris was assistant General Counsel for ACE-USA heavily involved in coverage work.  Kris began as AVP of Major Claims, responsible for directing litigation for major claims throughout the United States and Europe.

Chad L. Staller is president of the Center for Forensic Economic Studies. He has extensive experience working with both plaintiff and defense counsel in a wide variety of civil matters, quantifying loss sustained by many types of plaintiffs, including union members, state and federal employees, business owners and injured children.  He regularly analyzes claims brought in employment-discrimination matters, quantifying back-pay and front-pay damages and lost benefits.  Mr. Staller and frequently consults on commercial matters, analyzing lost-profit and business-interruption claims. He has testified in jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations in state and federal courts throughout the country.

He serves on the faculty of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law LL.M. in Trial Advocacy program and lectures regularly at Villanova University School of Law and Drexel’s Earle Mack School of Law.  Mr. Staller is a Certified Trial Advocacy instructor through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.  He frequently presents seminars and speaks on forensic economic topics at law firms, accounting continuing education seminars, and before professional organizations.Mr. Staller received his Masters in Business Administration, with honors from the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, his Master of Accountancy from Villanova University and his Juris Doctorate from the Beasley School of Law, cum laude, at Temple University.
