Description
This webinar is designed to demonstrate the importance of selecting diverse neutrals in alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”), specifically mediation. Unlike arbitration, mediation is self-determining and can be a bridge for access to justice for underserved communities needing resolution processes that are less likely to have disparate outcomes. Mediators who meet diverse categories not only in race, age and gender also bring invaluable perspectives via diversity in culture, subject matter expertise, skills set and thought. Panelists will discuss and explore ADR industry parallels with the insurance and legal industries and hopefully inspire an increase in the intentional selection of diverse alternative dispute resolution professionals to enrich the experience and outcomes in the field of dispute resolution.
