Biography
Melissa G. Peak, CGA, CIIP, CISRElite, CLP, CPIA, CPSR, CRIS, CRMC, CTC, cyRM, DAE, MLIS, PMQ, PTC has worked in the insurance and risk management industry for over 18 years. Prior to joining the Montgomery Country Commission, she worked as a claims professional for a captive broker and an excess & surplus lines insurance carrier that focused primarily on commercial liability coverage and has held roles in claims management for other insurance agencies. While majority of her experience is targeted towards the claims sector of the industry, she has experience in personal and commercial lines account management as well as construction risk management.
Melissa is an active member of the International Association of Insurance Professionals and is a fellow of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance. She also belongs to the Society of CISR, the AIMS Society, the Alabama Property and Casualty Adjusters Association, the Society of Certified General Adjusters and is a Senior Fellow of the Management and Strategy Institute. In addition to her designations, she has had the honor of receiving many industry awards associated with her work and education in the insurance industry.
