Biography

Within her 17 years in the transportation industry, Pam has held various leadership positions, overseen and defended truck accident and cargo claims, and worked closely with outside defense counsel to represent the trucking company, and its drivers, at various stages of truck accident pre-litigation and litigation.  In 2006, Pam began her in-house transportation career with U.S. Xpress, Inc., overseeing a team of commercial auto liability (including subrogation) and cargo claims examiners, as well as a crisis response call center.   In September 2021, Pam moved into a unique role in the transportation risk management sector, dedicated to coaching high-level claims examiners and paralegals, addressing catastrophic and other complex matters, supporting the Knight-Swift family of companies and its captive insurance company, Mohave Transportation Insurance Company.  Pam joined the American Trucking Associations (ATA) in November 2022, where she represents ATA in litigation with broad policy implications for the trucking industry, and where she works to advance the interests of motor carriers on a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues.
Pam graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law after earning her BA (Political Science) from Emory University and her MPA (Financial Management) from the University of Cincinnati.  After law school, Pam practiced with Miller & Martin PLLC in Chattanooga, focusing her practice on railway transportation, commercial, and products liability litigation, and has tried cases in state and federal courts.   She is also a Tennessee Rule 31 listed civil mediator.
