Scott Patterson

Biography

Wm Scott Patterson currently serves as in-house counsel for Zurich North America, advising Zurich on construction defect, general liability, and ocean marine insurance coverage matters, as well as extra-contractual claims, across the country. He is also involved in product development.

Scott began his legal career as a trial lawyer with Fowler, White in Tampa. He subsequently managed staff counsel operations for Amerisure and Auto-Owners. Scott then transitioned to coverage, ultimately on a national basis, first with CIGNA and then St. Paul, which brought him to Baltimore. He left St. Paul to start the Insurance Coverage Law Group, with offices in Maryland and Florida. Scott then returned in-house with Zurich.

Scott received his BA and JD, with honors, from Florida State University. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Florida, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
