Susan Smith

Biography

Susan Smith is a member of Goldberg Segalla’s Toxic Torts, Environmental, and Product Liability Practice Group. An experienced litigator and trial lawyer who has spent nearly twenty years defending clients in various industries against claims alleging injury as a result of exposure to carbon monoxide, mold, lead, Legionella bacteria, and other potentially harmful substances, Ms. Smith uses her extensive experience and knowledge to craft and execute strong defenses in response to high-stakes lawsuits. She also defends environmental contamination claims involving residential and commercial properties. She is the immediate-past Chair of the Maryland Defense Counsel’s Lead Paint Committee. Ms. Smith was the Co-Chair of the CLM’s Maryland/DC Chapter from 2012-2014. She is also a longstanding member of the Defense Research Institute.
