Areas of Practice 

John Sparling is a senior equity partner of the law firm London Fischer LLP for over 15 years. He has been handling complex litigation in the insurance, construction, products liability and mass tort litigation fields for over 20 years.

Mr. Sparling's practice includes the representation of construction contractors, general contractors and owners in all aspects of construction litigation including, personal injury, property damage, construction defect, and delay claims as well as the drafting of construction contracts and insurance policies and endorsements. Some of the more recent construction projects for which John has defended include the new Yankee Stadium, the recent renovations of Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden and the Hearst Tower in New York. Mr. Sparling is also involved in the defense of and is on the Defense Steering Committee of the mass-tort litigation arising out of the World Trade Center 9/11 Disaster and the cleanup litigation involving over 10,000 lawsuits.

In addition, Mr. Sparling's practice involves insurance coverage and declaratory judgment actions. Litigation of large catastrophic fires, floods, construction and building claims. Some of the representative products for which John has defended include all aspects of industrial and construction equipment as well as the representation of tractor and agricultural product manufacturers and manufacturers of power press equipment on a national and local basis; manufacturers of, among other things, automobiles, motors, heating and ventilating equipment, aluminum bus bars, chairs and stools, tampons, excavation, construction and industrial machinery, boats and boating equipment, knitting machines, kerosene heaters, traffic signals, street lights, flue gas desulfurization units, forklifts, snowmobiles and snow throwing equipment, printing presses, fire extinguishers, fabric and sleep wear, golf carts, chainsaws, medical devices, and a myriad of consumer products; defense of toxic tort claims including manufacturers of asbestos, silicone and latex products and chemicals. John handles trials and appeals in all courts.

John is a member of the New York State, New York City and American Bar Associations (Member, Committees on Litigation, Tort and Insurance Practice and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law). He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and enjoys sitting on a number of Claims and Litigation Management Alliance committees.
