Marjorie Thompson

Biography

Marjorie Thompson is a manager in the Claims Unit of Allied World Assurance Company.  Her responsibilities include oversight of coverage litigation brought by or against Allied World and its affiliated companies in the United States.  Prior to joining Allied World in 2003, Marjorie was a Complex Claims Director in the Commercial Directors & Officers Claims Unit of National Union.  She also worked as an associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae and as an attorney with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Civil and Criminal Divisions.  She has been a panel member at various conferences and symposiums, including those sponsored by the American Bar Association (ABA), the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the American Conference Institute (”ACI”) and the Practicing Law Institute (PLI).  Marjorie received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992 and her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in 1988.
