Justin Nestor

Biography

Justin Nestor focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense and has successfully handled cases at every level up to the Appellate Court. Based out of the firm’s office in Schererville, Indiana, Justin maintains an active practice in both Indiana and Illinois. He represents construction companies, trucking companies, commercial contract carriers, retailers, manufacturers, municipalities and self-insureds, and works closely with third-party administrators and insurance carriers. He also has experience in subrogation, personal injury and premises liability defense, and defending unemployment claims.

Prior to practicing law, Justin was a municipal police officer in Indiana for 8 years, having attained the permanent rank of Corporal. While on the police department, Justin served the community in a variety of capacities in addition to patrol and investigative duties, including Field Training Officer, Traffic Safety Grant Coordinator and Police Pension Board Secretary. Justin was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, having served as President of the department’s local lodge.

Justin frequently speaks on a variety of topics and has authored several articles. Justin is also involved in a number of professional associations, including various bar associations, the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers’ Association, and the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Institute, where he was a Board Member (2011) and President (2012) of the Northwest Indiana Chapter.
