Mary Sharp

Biography

Partner with Griffith, Sadler & Sharp, P.A., concentrating in civil litigation matters. Has tried more than 40 cases in the state and federal courts in South Carolina. Represents individual and corporate clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in trial and appellate proceedings. Certified mediator, and currently serves as a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Beaufort.

In 2012, recognized as a South Carolina Super Lawyer.  In 2010, inducted as an Associate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, which membership is by invitation only, and requires extensive experience as lead counsel in civil trials. In 2009, honored as one of 10 South Carolina “Leaders in the Law,” by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly, in their inaugural year of presenting the awards.

Represents clients in a wide variety of matters, including those involving premises liability, automobile and truck accidents, professional negligence, insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, contract disputes, real estate litigation, homeowners association litigation, environmental litigation and construction litigation.

Leader on national and state level on issues involving women and women lawyers. Contributes to the legal profession through active involvement with the South Carolina Bar, and to the local community through service on the boards of several community-based non-profit organizations.
