Biography
Thomas’ practice specializes in medical malpractice, products liability, medical device and insurance defense. He serves as national counsel in long term care cases for a national insurance company. Additionally, he provides direct representation of nursing homes, hospitals, physicians and nurses. He has a history of successful resolution of numerous complex cases in his specialty areas, especially in nursing home defense and products liability. In addition to his litigation practice, he develops risk management programs and procedures for national healthcare providers and insurers.Thomas is a sought out speaker nationwide on various topics affecting the defense of medical providers. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles on medical malpractice defense, and contributed to the book “Nursing Home Litigation: Pretrial Practice and Trials.”Thomas is active in all aspects of the community. He is a board member of The American Cancer Society. He gives both his time and resources to the Volunteer Lawyers Program and to his church. He is a graduate of Leadership Mobile and has been selected as a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Leadership Class. Thomas is married with two children.
