Peter Schifrin

Biography

Peter has spent over 35 years in the insurance industry. He is the President of Schifrin, Gagnon & Dickey, Inc. (SGD), a California based company that provides claims adjusting, investigation, and administration.
 
As a licensed independent adjuster and private investigator, Peter has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of claims, including property, casualty, and many specialty lines.
 
Peter is a Past President of the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters and the Pacific Claim Executives Association. He is the Immediate Past-President of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters.
 
Peter is a member of the California Department of Insurance Curriculum Board and is a Past President of the Society of Registered Professional Adjusters.
 
Peter frequently presents educational classes to insurers and groups such as the CLM, CAIIA, and PLRB on topics including the California Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, the California SIU Regulations, Good Faith Claims Handling, and First and Third-Party Coverage Analysis and Claims Investigation.
