Biography

I am the Casualty Claims Manager for Bi-State Development, one of the nation’s oldest interstate agencies.  Bi-State, also known as Metro, is the operator of the public transportation system for the St. Louis metropolitan region in Missouri and Illinois. The Agency administers MetroLink, MetroBus and Metro Call-A-Ride and it oversees operations of the St. Louis Downtown Airport, the Gateway Arch trams and the Gateway Arch Riverboats. My  responsibilities include  the  management of claims and litigation for the Agency including the establishment of fiscal reserves and management of expenditures for claims and settlements.  I work to minimize and eliminate the agency’s exposure to claims by coordinating and providing guidance throughout the arms of the Agency.
I began her insurance career with Farmers Insurance Company where I handled claims in a variety of lines of insurance. During that time, I developed extensive knowledge and experience in insurance claims, risk management and personnel supervision. Over a decade ago, I brought  skills to the Agency and have fulfilled a critical role in helping the Agency met its overriding goal:  the to move transit forward in the St. Louis region while operating with transparency, fiscal integrity, safety and efficiency, and to involve the people of the region in that effort.
