Biography
Ken Abernathy has over 17 years’ experience in the insurance industry as an independent adjuster. During this time, he has worked as a Field Adjuster, Claims Supervisor, and Executive General Adjuster. Over the past ten years, Ken has been handling large and complex losses, as well as, managing claims for various property insurance programs on behalf of insurers and self-insured entities. His focus primarily involves public entity, commercial and industrial property and equipment breakdown losses. Ken is a graduate from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and master’s degree in Public Administration. He received the Associate in Claims and Associate in General Insurance designations from The Institutes.
In his personal time, Ken enjoys spending time with his wife and cats, gardening, yoga and painting.
