Julianne Splain

Biography

Julianne Splain joined CapSpecialty in April 2014 as the Vice President of Claims.  She oversees the handling of claims for all lines of business including casualty, property, surety, and professional liability.  Prior to joining CapSpecialty Julianne was head of U.S. Claims at Allied World Assurance Company.  Her previous positions included managing and handling claims at Darwin, HCC Global, Chubb Specialty and Executive Risk.  While employed at Chubb she also provided loss prevention services to insured law firms and accounting firms. Before entering the insurance industry Julianne spent three years as in house counsel at The Dexter Corporation managing litigation and nearly ten years in private practice in Seattle and Hartford.  Julianne attended Vassar College and earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.  She received her J.D. from Seattle University.
