Biography

Richard Mennies brings 30 years of leadership and experience to Mayers, Mennies, and Sherr, specializing in all aspects of insurance defense litigation as well as affirmative lawsuits on behalf of insurance carriers. His extensive experience includes matters involving auto liability, property and casualty insurance fraud, first- and third-party benefits, bad faith, uninsured and underinsured motorist benefits, property claims, insurance coverage, product liability, and toxic exposure. He has successfully defended and tried cases in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks and Chester Counties as well as in the Federal Courts.

From the Philadelphia area, Mr. Mennies graduated from LaSalle University in 1979. He received his law degree from Villanova University Law School in 1985. During law school, he served as a member of the Moot Court Board, and was a finalist in the Reimel Moot Court competition and the winner of the school’s client counseling competition.

Mr. Mennies is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Montgomery County Bar Associations and lectures for the National Insurance Crime Bureau and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
