Biography

Kimberly W. Geisler is a member of the Birmingham, Alabama law firm of Scott Dukes & Geisler, P.C., where she represents management in the defense of employment-related claims.  In addition to assisting clients with pending litigation and matters involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Department of Labor, Kimberly advises clients on day-to-day employment matters, provides clients with anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training, and devises policies to protect employers against potentially costly litigation.  Kimberly is a member of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and serves as a management co-chair of the Section’s Pro Bono Work Committee.  She is also a member of the Employment Rights & Responsibilities Committee of the American Bar Association and serves as a co-chair of the Insurance subcommittee.  Kimberly is a contributing author to BNA’s Employment At Will: A State by State Survey.  For the last three years, Kimberly has been listed as a Rising Star in Alabama’s Super Lawyers, and she was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of the Top 40 Under 40 for 2012.  Prior to entering private practice, Kimberly served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ira DeMent, United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.  Kimberly received her B.A. from the University of Alabama, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.  Kimberly also received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was an editor of the Alabama Law Review and was elected to Order of the Coif.
