Biography
Mindy received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina in 2008. After law school, she practiced as a civil litigator in Chicago and New Orleans and maintained a winning record after 50+ civil jury trials. In 2016, she embarked on a research journey when she was selected to serve as an Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Fellow. During that time, she conducted a comparative analysis of medical negligence and health care risk management in the United States and Germany. After her fellowship, she continued her comparative health law work as a Ph.D. candidate and lecturer at the University of Passau law school in Germany. In 2019, she returned to practice at Burglass Tankersley where she focuses on medical malpractice litigation while completing her doctoral dissertation.
