Biography
Bob is a 34 year veteran of the excess and surplus lines and reinsurance business. He attained the Chartered Property and Casualty underwriter designation in 1984. Bob has been a broker with Amwins Insurance and it’s predecessor, Stewart Smith Group, since 1990. AmWINS is the 11th largest insurance distribution firm worldwide and operates internationally. He runs the National Life Science Practice Group for AmWINS, and has focused on biotech, pharma and medical device insurance since the early 90’s. He, his wife and two rescue dogs live in Oakland, CA, and when he isn’t engaged in insurance he is focused on golf, cooking and photography.
