Biography

Brian J. McGrath-Senior Vice President Brian McGrath is a managing claims consultant located in Grand Rapids, MI.  His responsibilities currently include client advocacy and support for the Midwest Zone. His consulting focus is on protecting his client’s rights and ensuring that they receive professional claim service from carrier’s and/or other service providers. It is his objective to compel the attention of the insurance or adjusting companies to settle claims promptly and equitably. He will advocate his client’s position in all negotiations and act as a liaison to support and direct the flow of information and documentation between our clients and their insurers.Brian is also the Marsh National Construction Claims Practice leader.
Prior to rejoining Marsh in 2010, Brian had worked as claims manager for the Marsh office in Grand Rapids from 1992 until 1999.Brian began his claims career with Liberty Mutual in 1975.  He worked in several capacities from 1977 to 1990 for the St. Paul Companies, most recently as the branch manager of the Grand Rapids office.Brian has multi-line claims experience in all casualty lines as well as considerable experience in property claims matters. Brian served as part of the Marsh Disaster Recovery team from 1992 to 1999, serving clients needs following the Northridge and Kobe (Japan) earthquakes.
