Biography
Scott Smith, CPCU, is a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor for State Auto Insurance Company in Bloomington MN. During his 23 year career, Scott has worked in the field of Workers’ Compensation claims and compliance management. He has worked in both technical and supervisory roles during this time gaining expertise in handling complex and large exposure claims, reserving practices as well as statutory and federal compliance reporting.Over the course of his career, Scott has conducted extensive training for claims staff and employers on a broad range of topics ranging from Workers Compensation claims management to complex statutory and federal regulations. In his current position, he is actively involved in coaching and mentoring new hires to support their growth and development.Scott holds the CPCU professional designation and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Susquehanna University. He also completed the Center for Creative Leadership management program which is located in Greensboro, NC.
