Geoff Wood

Biography

Geoff is a partner and shareholder in Ericksen Arbuthnot's Concord office. He has worked in the legal profession since 1976 and is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
 
He has worked on and handled numerous complex litigation cases, focusing primarily on construction defect and premises liability issues. He has represented owners, developers, general contractors and subcontractors in cases involving multi-tract single family dwellings, apartment complexes, condominiums, townhouses, and multi-story commercial buildings throughout Northern and Central California.
 
Geoff is a regular lecturer in the firm’s continuing education program regarding the California Fair Claims Practices Act which is certified in multiple states. He has also participated in providing training to of state insurance adjusters regarding the ins and outs of handling construction defect claims in California. He has given seminars on the use of extrapolation evidence in construction defect litigation. Geoff has published articles regarding settling around express contractual indemnity agreements, the impact of the recent case law on the Right to Repair Act, and SB 474.
