In his role as Vice President of Polaris Forensics, Inc., James oversees relationships with current and prospective clients, coordinates properly qualified and licensed staff for assignments, and performs forensic engineering evaluations. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail impact his work and the work of the Polaris team.
James has evaluated and analyzed a wide variety of buildings and building systems, including concrete, masonry, steel, and wood structures, envelopes, roofing systems, and foundations, as well as non-building structures, including retaining walls, docks, pavement, and communication towers. He has provided expert opinions related to the cause and extent of damage and prepared recommended remedial actions for property owners, municipalities, insurance carriers, and attorneys. James’s project experience includes commercial, industrial, residential, institutional, educational, and agricultural facilities that have been subject to damage related to installation, construction, and design defects, collapses, vehicular or tree impact, fires, explosions, windstorms, tornados, hail, hurricanes, and non-uniform soil movement.
James earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. James is currently a licensed engineer in over twenty states. Outside of the office, James enjoys golf, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
