Biography

David B. Simons is a Vice President and the Assistant General Counsel in the Legal Department of KB Home, a national homebuilder whose operations has delivered new homes to thousands of American families in over fifty years of operations. Mr. Simons is responsible for litigation, ethics, and compliance and has been with KB Home since July of 1998.
He is responsible for the Company’s litigation reserves and reporting and presents to the Audit Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors quarterly on major exposures and ethics and compliance issues. Mr. Simons chairs the Legal Action Committee of the California Building Industry Association and actively supports the General Counsels of the Leading Builders of America.
Mr. Simons formerly practiced with Cooper, White and Cooper in San Francisco California. His practice focused on commercial litigation with an emphasis on defending residential and commercial construction developers, contractors, and design professionals in real estate and construction-related litigation.
Mr. Simons received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of California at Davis. During law school, he served as senior notes and comments editor of the Law Review.
