James Connolly

Biography

Jim is the Manager of the Connolly Group LLC providing consultation and investigation services on complex claims. Jim retired as a Managing Director of Marsh after 35 years‎. He managed Marsh Risk Consulting's 1000 person consulting practice that provided loss control, claims, forensic accounting, workers compensation, business continuity and related services. Jim personally provided fire protection, safety, strategic risk assessment, and other services to a variety of industries including nuclear, chemical, manufacturing, universities and others. Jim also co-founded and managed Marsh's Crisis Consulting‎ practice that assisted some of the largest global companies ‎adopt best practices to manage severe and unexpected events. Jim is a licensed professional engineer and certified fire investigator. He has served on numerous boards and committees including NFPA committees on water cooling towers and fire fighter safety. He is Deputy Fire Chief of a suburban Chicago fire department with 33 years of fire service experience. In his spare time, Jim is a closet architect who designs and builds large vacation homes.
