Biography
Jim is currently the Recovery Unit Manager for the National Indemnity Claim Operations and the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, located in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to joining the organization in 2010, Jim was the Vice President of Property/Casualty Claims for Berkley Risk Administrators Company, managing its claim operations in Council Bluffs, Iowa; Farmington, Connecticut; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jim directs subrogation investigation and recovery activities on approximately 3,000 pending claim files concentrated primarily in the commercial property, commercial auto and trucking, and workers compensation lines of business. Jim is a long-standing member of DRI, NASP, and CLM and has been involved in numerous roles within the claims profession throughout his 40 year career.In his “spare time”, Jim and his wife Terry enjoy spending their vacations at his second home in Scottsdale, where Jim plays bad golf while Terry goes shopping. They have one daughter, Amy, who is in the healthcare profession in Omaha.
