Amy Neathery

Biography

Amy Neathery is a Senior Associate with Pierce Couch Hendrickson Baysinger & Green in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2001.  In 2004, she obtained J.D., with distinction/MPA from the University of Oklahoma.  Amy’s practice focuses on insurance bad faith litigation and issuing coverage opinions.  She will sheepishly admit that she enjoys reading claim files and predicting what an Oklahoma jury will do with them, and she enjoys studying how juries reach verdicts.  Amy routinely writes on issues involving bad faith litigation and conducts training for claims adjusters. In addition to practicing law, Amy teaches an undergraduate Business Law course, where she strives to help students understand basic tort and contract principles that they can apply to their personal and professional lives.Outside of the courtroom, Amy is active with the Alzheimer’s Association and often speaks and advocates on behalf of caregivers.  She also enjoys spending time gardening and watching OU football.  Although she grew up in Dallas, Amy and her husband enjoy living in a quiet Oklahoma City suburb with their two dogs.
