Biography

Associate General Counsel

Douglas R. Shaw is a seasoned attorney who has spent the last decade dedicated to growing his legal career.  Mr. Shaw received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 2001 and a J.D. degree from New York Law School in 2005. 

Upon graduation, Mr. Shaw joined the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.  During the course of his prosecutorial career, he handled all levels of criminal cases from inception through trial.  Mr. Shaw was assigned to the Street Narcotics and Gang Bureau working on wiretap investigations and trials involving violent gangs.   Mr. Shaw then joined Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein and Deutsch, LLP.  His practice was concentrated on the defense of hospitals and physicians in complex medical malpractice litigation.  Mr. Shaw next served as Senior Associate with Littleton Joyce Ughetta Park and Kelly, LLP representing manufacturers, distributors and retailers regarding a variety of products in state and federal courts nationwide and regionally.  Mr. Shaw next served as an Assistant Vice President at Western Litigation handling Professional and General Liability claims for Hospitals, Physician Groups and Long Term Care facilities nationwide.  Mr. Shaw is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York and Connecticut, the Eastern and Southern District Courts of New York and holds an Independent Adjuster License from New York State.
