Biography
Eric has over 30 years of experience in multi-line claim management. He specializes in construction claims which includes general liability, products liability, construction defect, construction injury, professional liability (architects & engineers), product liability, wraps (OCIP, CCIP), environmental along with excess liability and umbrella coverages. His industry expertise also extends to subcontractor default and home builder protection programs. He also has extensive experience in complex and multi-party litigation management and legal audit experience. He is extremely adept at loss analysis, forecasting, risk financing and claim administration and is well versed in conflict resolution, negotiations and mediation.
Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2016, Eric spent over 17 years working in various senior management roles with AIG, Travelers, and most recently as Assistant Vice President with Zurich North America, leading their nationwide construction defect and professional liability claim operations throughout United States and internationally. He oversaw the company’s most severe and complex cases, both nationally and internationally and led negotiations in many high profile and multimillion dollar cases.
From 2012-2016, Eric led Zurich’s professional liability group by developing and implementing policies, procedures and strategic initiatives that reduced costs, enhanced operations and optimized profitability within the line of business. He has strong knowledge of all PL products. He also coordinated and collaborated with underwriting business units providing claim value presentations that were later used by underwriting for all broker meetings, new accounts and renewals
Eric has been invited as a panellist at numerous seminars and industry roundtables lecturing extensively on various construction and claim related topics to attorneys, construction professionals, agents, brokers and their clients.
