Laila Santana

Biography

Laila Santana is the Executive Vice President and Chief Claims Officer of Berkley Alliance Managers, which is a member company of Berkley. Berkley Alliance Managers specializes in professional liability products and services for architects and engineers (Berkley Design Professional), design-build contractors (Berkley Construction Professional), miscellaneous professional liability service providers (Berkley Service Professionals), and accountants.

Laila is a licensed attorney in California, and she has nearly 30-years’ experience in the claims and legal profession. She has been in claims management for 20-years. Before entering the insurance sector, Laila practiced law for 9-years at a Southern California-based law firm. She is graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and Pepperdine University/Seaver College with a B.A. Degree in Communications and Business. She has authored numerous articles and presentations on risk management for design and construction professionals, and has been a speaker at several industry-related conferences. Laila is a member of ACEC’s Risk Management Committee, ACEC’s Legal Counsel Forum, IRMI and CLM.
