Josephine Au

Biography

 
Josie Au is a Senior Claims Specialist at Suffolk Construction headquartered in Boston, MA. Suffolk Construction is a national construction management firm that specializes in complex projects in the healthcare, education, science and technology, federal government, and commercial sectors. At Suffolk Construction, Josie is responsible for overseeing Workers Compensation, General Liability, Construction Defect, Pollution, and Builders Risk claims nationwide with the focus on mitigating exposure through risk transfer and cost containment. Josie is a member of her company's Diversity and Inclusion Council and the Chair of her subcomittee focusing on Employee Development and Retention. She was a panel speaker for the 2017 CLM Workers Compensation Conference where she discussed two Florida Supreme Court rulings in 2016 (Castellanos v. Next Door Company and Westphal v. City of Petersburg), and it's impact to employers and carriers. Her presentation was named Canary in the Coal Mine: How the Florida Experience could Impact the National WC Industry. She received her Certified Claims Professional in Construction Designation through CLM Claims College.
 
Prior to joining Suffolk, Josie was a Resolution Manager for Gallagher Bassett specializing in Workers Compensation in the states of Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. Josie received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst - Isenberg School of Management.
