Biography

Drew Hamilton Butler is an equity shareholder at Richardson Plowden in Charleston, South Carolina. He joined the firm in 2002 at the Columbia office and helped to open the Charleston branch office in 2012. As a trial lawyer, he focuses his practice on general litigation, including construction litigation, products liability defense and personal injury litigation.  Mr. Butler has sucessfully defended high-profile, large-loss, construction-defect claims in State and Federal Court where he has represented general contractors, developers, subcontractors and bonding companies.  

Mr. Butler has previously presented at local and national conferences on issues associated with AIA Contracts, Understanding the Current CGL Policy in the context of Construction-Defect Claims, and The Role of Performance Bonds and Additional Insureds.
