Del Malec

Biography

Del Malec is a WC Claims Technical Director with Allianz Resolution Management/SFRe Company. His varied 36 year claims career includes proven leadership in staff development and training; catastrophic case management, settlement analysis and negotiation of claims with complex legal issues; management of multi-functional claims teams in the development of procedures for litigation reduction and avoidance.
 
In addition to his WC Claims technical oversight, for the past 8 years, Del has been the key settlement specialist and negotiator for Allianz Resolution Management on cases over $250,000 requiring WC Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements. He has represented his company at proceedings before the CA WCAB and at hearings before the CA Legislators.
 
Del received a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University in Recreation Administration, with an emphasis on park design. He has his Masters of Science degree from San Diego State University in Physical Education. Del currently represents Allianz Resolution Management on the CWCI Claims Management committee and is an alternate member of the AIA CA WC committee. He holds adjusting licenses for the States of Kentucky, Rhode Island, Arizona and Texas.
 
In his leisure time, Del enjoys running half marathon races and spending time with his wife of 38 years, Rosemary.
