Biography
Michelle Freeman has been a licensed attorney and licensed insurance professional and has been working for the past 20 years for The Hartford as a Senior Claims Specialist. Her experience includes the investigation, handling and management of coverage and liability aspects involved in construction litigation, as well as toxic tort claims such as asbestos, lead paint and environmental exposures. Michelle also works with underwriting on claims that impact current business and reports out to senior level management on risk assessments, financial reserving and reinsurance impact. In addition, as a senior member of The Hartford's claims group Michelle has been responsible for organizing various training and development workshops for the claims staff on topics such as Risk Transfer, Additional Insured tenders, Negotiation Methods and Mediation techniques. Michelle is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Western New England University Law School.
