Jasmina Richter practices in the areas of commercial litigation, professional liability defense, insurance coverage and litigation, products liability, personal injury, public entity law, and construction law. As part of her professional liability practice, Jasmina defends architects, engineers, insurance agents, accountants, real estate agents, and other professionals.
As part of her insurance coverage and insurance bad faith litigation, Jasmina represents insurers in complex insurance coverage actions. Jasmina has analyzed coverage under a wide variety of policies including commercial general liability, commercial property, professional liability, director and officer liability, aviation liability, commercial auto, garage liability, educators' liability, homeowners and excess policies. Jasmina also represents insurers faced with Damron/Morris type agreements and the unique legal issues that arise when defending against the enforceability of those agreements. In the past few years , Jasmina has successfully litigated cases involving a $1.2M Damron agreement, $1.5M Damron agreement, $3.5M Morris agreement, $7.5M Morris agreement, $30M Damron agreement, and numerous threatened Damron/Morris agreements for multi-million dollar stipulated judgments, obtaining favorable results for the insurers in each.
Jasmina received a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Pennsylvania State University. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law where she graduated with Honors in 2005.
Jasmina was named to the Southwest Super Lawyers-Rising Stars List every year from 2012 to 2016. She has been selected as one of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers. Jasmina also serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel ("AADC"). She is the Chair of the Professional Liability Committee for the AADC. Jasmina frequently publishes articles and speaks on insurance coverage and litigation topics, including Damron/Morris agreements.
