Biography
Cheri leads EMC's Corporate Office Claims Legal Team and serves as an expert resource on coverage and good faith claim handling issues. She graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 1999. After graduation, she was an associate at Cremer, Kopon, Shaughnessy & Spina, LLC, in Chicago, Illinois, where she specialized in insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation. She was also a member of the firm's appellate practice group and successfully argued cases before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She joined EMC in 2003 as Coverage Counsel and advised claims professionals across the country on coverage issues under all lines of business. She eventually transitioned into a role managing complex coverage and extra-contractual litigation on a nationwide basis.
