Michael McDonnell

Biography

Mr. McDonnell represents some of the leading companies in the world in complex litigation, class actions and mass tort litigation. He has advised industry leaders on jury and risk analysis and has frequently been engaged to provide advice on the appeal of major verdicts.
 
He has a nationally recognized practice in advising insurance companies and Risk Managers on the handling of complex and large insurance claims, both domestically and internationally. Mr. McDonnell advises insurance industry leaders and some of the leading companies in the world and their Risk Managers on risk and coverage.
 
Mr. McDonnell represents both corporate policyholders and domestic and London market companies and syndicates in catastrophic losses in the U.S. and around the world. His insurance practice is domestic and international in scope and includes concentration upon all aspects of insuring agreements. His recent and current work includes counsel and resolution of large loss and complex coverage throughout the U.S., England, Central America and South America. His practice addresses primary, excess and umbrella environmental, intellectual property, employment, fidelity, construction and architects and engineers, all aspects of professional liability, aviation, marine, trucking, commercial general liability and property
claims.
 
He has lectured on insurance coverage and bad faith for continuing legal education organizations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. McDonnell is actively involved in providing CLE insurance presentations to insurer and corporate clients and general counsel staff.
 
He is a veteran appellate advocate of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey intermediate and high courts and the Third Circuit. Mr. McDonnell has tried numerous jury, arbitration and non-jury civil tort and declaratory actions to verdict in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
