Biography

Paloma Ramirez is a Construction Defect Senior Claims Manager  with AmTrust Financial Services. Ms. Ramirez has been with AmTrust since August 2022.  Prior to AmTrust, Paloma was with Nationwide since October 2018. Prior to Nationwide, Ms. Ramirez was an attorney with Tyson & Mendes, LLP for approximately 14 years. Mr. Ramirez represented clients in complex litigation, including construction defect, property disputes and products liability; and is highly knowledgeable on issues of general liability, indemnity, and insurance; Mr. Ramirez routinely addressed insurance issues including tendering of claims and evaluation of coverage issues. Ms. Ramirez managed all aspects of a large caseloads, including defense of numerous high exposure clients; conduct all aspects of pre- and post-litigation practice, including discovery, law and motion, and trial preparation; negotiate settlements favorable to the client within parameters of carrier authority; coordinate and strategize with expert witnesses during investigation of claims and in preparation for testimony; detailed analysis, drafting and negotiation of defense and indemnity provisions, contracts and settlement agreements; work closely with clients in development of defense; report all aspects of litigation and collaborate with insurance carriers, assessing/evaluating potential exposure/liability issues. Prior to Tyson & Mendez, Ms. Ramirez was an attorney with Carrick & Ramey, LLP for approximately four years. Ms. Ramirez is a 2001 graduate of Southwestern University School of Law and a 1996 graduate of UCLA with a degree in Sociology specializing in Business Administration.
