Biography

Mr. James Scalise brings over 20+ years of experience in litigation, claims handling and claims leadership to his role as Executive Vice President, Chief Claims Officer for USLI. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Scalise served as a Senior Vice President, Complex Casualty Claims at AIG Claims, Inc. in the New York City home office. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Scalise was engaged in private legal practice where he gained significant experience litigating civil matters on behalf of insurance companies, corporations and individuals.

Mr. Scalise holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elon University and a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. In 2002, he is admitted to the New York State Bar Association and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District and Southern District of New York. In his free time, Mr. Scalise enjoys playing guitar, drums and traveling with his family.
