Michael Hearn

Biography

A specialist in construction defect and property damage litigation, Michael has been a leader in his field for more than three decades. In addition to California, Michael also leads the law firm of Hearn & Fleener in Colorado representing owners and associations across Colorado.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Delaware and has a Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law. He is a member of the California and Colorado State Bars and licensed in Federal Court. Recently, he became a member of the Tribal Courts and is representing Native American Tribal Counsels concerning construction defects in residences, hotels and casinos.

Michael’s reputation extends far beyond the courtroom. For more than 20 years, he has been an invited panelist for many legal workshops hosted by the Community Associations Institute, Southern California Defense Council, Design Professional Insurance Company, West Coast Casualty Annual Construction Defect Seminar, and numerous insurance and management companies.

Michael’s experience is buttressed by his stake in a real estate development firm leading successful new commercial developments since the mid 80’s. Participating in the design and construction of numerous commercial buildings gives him an extremely strong culmination of experience in both law and construction.
