Biography

Maggie Weber is an attorney with Nationwide Insurance, a Fortune 100 company.  She currently serves as Managing Counsel for the Personal Lines Contingent Liability Unit within the Litigation and Employment Department.  Her management of extra contractual litigation covers New York, New England, Pennsylvania, California and the Central Plains states.  At any given time, Maggie is responsible for 150 -200 bad faith suits.  Maggie managed over 400 bad faith hail cases in Texas alone since 2012.  According to Maggie, management of such a large volume and portion of the country requires a delicate balance of business acumen and proactive litigation, in addition to a sense of humor.

Prior to Nationwide, Maggie worked in private practice as a civil litigator with a firm in Columbus, Ohio.  She focused on complex corporate and insurance defense and medical malpractice defense matters.
Maggie attended law school at the American University in Washington, D.C.  Prior to that, she taught English to school children in a remote village in Japan for two years.  Her formidable time in Japan shaped her into the professional and attorney she is today.

Maggie received her Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University.   She is an Egyptian American that has traveled extensively to Egypt.  Outside of work, Maggie’s focus is her husband and their three children.  She also enjoys running, yoga and quality time with friends and family.
