Taylor Smith is the president of Suite 200 Solutions, which he founded in 2009. The Company offers advisory services to the property casualty claims and litigation industries, providing generalized consulting, market intelligence, and talent acquisition services to claims organizations, law firms, and to the service and technology providers that serve both those constituencies. Through its Transaction Advisory Group, the Company also provides critical support to investors, buyers, and sellers in this industry segment.
Taylor serves as a Chancellor of the CLM's Litigation Management Institute (LMI), and as a Dean of the CLM's School of Litigation Management. He has been a contributing editor to CLM Magazine, authoring profiles of industry chief claim officers and law firm managing partners, and previously served as contributing editor to Claims Spot, an award-winning LexisNexis Top-50 Insurance Blog on operational and strategic best practices.
Taylor has more than 30 years of experience in improving processes for insurance, claims, and legal executives. Before founding his own company, Taylor held executive positions with ePolicy Solutions, CT TyMetrix, CaseKnowledge, and CaseRev. In these roles, he developed high levels of expertise in litigation management, spend management, collaboration, vendor management, and other initiatives important to insurance and legal executives.
As a claims professional, Taylor served in various litigation management roles at MMI Companies, previously the nation’s second-largest healthcare facility underwriter, Norcal Mutual Insurance, and CNA Insurance Companies.
Taylor’s articles have appeared in Claims Magazine, Claims Advisor Magazine, Property Casualty 360, AM Best Review, National Underwriter, The DRI’s For the Defense magazine, and Litigation Management Magazine. Taylor received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York City, and attended Boston College Law School.
