Denise Montiel

Biography

Ms. Montiel is a communications consultant with over 23 years of experience in visual strategy, data visualization, information design, and effective communication of complex information specific to the litigation environment. She applies her extensive knowledge of the litigation process and her visual communications and information design expertise to the development of effective demonstrative evidence and the management of complex projects requiring a multi-disciplinary approach, with a special focus on the use of presentation technology in arbitration, settlement and trial. She is one of the most experienced visual communication consultants in the industry, having been the lead creative consultant and project manager on hundreds of cases and trials in almost every national venue.

She has distinguished herself as a project leader for high-level litigation and is highly qualified in strategic consulting for all matters, including product liability, intellectual property, commercial/financial, environmental, employment, construction, class action and personal injury litigation. Her specialty is in leading and managing trial presentation efforts for large litigation cases involving scientific and technology-based subject matter. 
 
Currently, as Vice President of Litigation Solutions at Magna Legal Services, Ms. Montiel provides communications consulting, presentation strategy, on-site trial support and CLE educational seminars.  She has authored several articles and technical publications on the effective use of visual communication, and is also a lecturer, teacher and presenter at bar associations, law firms, law schools, universities, and legal and claims conferences (CLE topics and references upon request).
