Donna Johnson

Biography

Donna Johnson is a Corporate Counsel in the Allstate Insurance Company Law & Regulation Department. She has worked in the Law & Regulation Department at Allstate Insurance Company for over 20 years and during that time has worked in a wide variety of roles and positions. Her work experience ranges from providing legal support and counsel to the Senior Vice President of the Marketing Division, Senior Vice President of the Claims Property and Casualty Division, along with acting as the Lead Counsel supporting the Field Vice President for the Midwest Region and the Customer Call Center.  She is also the subject matter expert on matters involving insurance litigation, claims handling issues related to Medicare Secondary Payer recovery actions and insurance reporting obligations, multicultural marketing, Agent Licensing, Customer Experience and Diversity and Inclusion.
 
Her work experience at Allstate has also involved working in the Life Insurance legal division at Allstate supporting life insurance and annuity projects and managing life insurance litigation. She is actively involved with the Allstate Diversity and Inclusion team supporting the mentoring and law intern program.  She currently leads the committee on increasing retention of minority and women owned law firms. Donna received her Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and her JD from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
 Her prior work experience included working as an Assistant States Attorney in the Criminal Division for both Lake and Cook County. Her external community involvement has included Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the Village of Libertyville for 9 years and is now currently serving her third four year term as an elected official as a Village Trustee.
