April Villaverde

Biography

April is a partner in our New Jersey office and concentrates her practice in insurance coverage litigation and counseling. She represents insurance carriers in connection with a wide range of issues and disputes arising under a vast array of policies, including general liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, employment practices, workers’ compensation, commercial property, environmental and contractual liability. April has provided strategic advice concerning the application of policy terms and exclusions under the law in almost every jurisdiction and has successfully defended clients throughout the United States

April has also been quite successful at convincing insureds to withdraw claims for coverage and to dismiss lawsuits and in obtaining carrier participation of mutual insureds. She truly enjoys the practice of law and is determined to resolve each case in the most efficient manner possible while recognizing the unique aspects of each case.

In addition, April consults and defends clients in a variety of civil matters, including matters involving zip-lines and other amusement park activities and has vast knowledge and experience in appellate practice.

April is also an active member of the firm’s Hiring Committee and Women’s Initiative. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association.
