Candace Padgett

Biography

Candace has been in the insurance industry for over a decade, joining Progressive Insurance straight out of college. She handled a variety of claims, from very low severity losses to complex fire and theft claims, before starting a new role at Farmers Insurance Company as a SIU Investigator.
 
While at Farmers, she learned a great deal about many lines of business while building upon the investigative skills she had gained from her prior roles. Candace became active in several professional insurance organizations, including IASIU and CLM, and is a Past President of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII).
 
She left Farmers Insurance to join SafeAuto Insurance in 2017 as a SIU Supervisor, where she led a team of field investigators. During her time at SafeAuto, she was responsible for creating the SIU Handbook used by the department and initiating an EDR retrieval program.
 
After her time at SafeAuto Insurance, she joined Ethos Risk Services as an Account Manager. In her role at Ethos, a full service risk mitigation company specializing in investigative services, she enjoys being able to work alongside her clients in their fight against fraud and offer her SIU expertise whenever she can.
 
She has presented on insurance fraud at several local and national seminars and co-authored two articles. She currently holds her FCLS and CFE designations.
