Biography

I am the founder and president of Social Media Investigations, Inc., a company born out of a critical void in the litigation process.

The evolution of social media has dramatically changed the landscape of conducting investigations and the surveillance of plaintiffs.  Traditional methods of collecting information in building a reliable defense are no longer the strongest and best practices. The prevalence of social media platforms and the large population that uses them daily offer a plethora of information that is rapidly replacing the means of the past.  

As Operations & IT Director of Picciano & Scahill, an insurance defense law firm for more than 17 years, I am well versed in all sides of the litigation process-from staff and attorney management and internal operations to implementing workflow procedure and compliance.  My responsibilities were extensive, from inception to litigation. My role as IT Director, naturally led me down the path of cyber and digital security. Securing critical data in ensuring various compliance standards to setting technical infrastructure to deal with the attacks on the network daily.

Early work experience at an insurance brokerage firm provided me with the foundation that I relied upon later to execute the numerous initiatives as IT Director.  I developed the firms first web based Case Management System that allowed for greater efficiency and gave the firm a competitive advantage.

My expertise in legal management plus my strong IT background provided all the elements that I would need to form the new alternative to conventional investigations.  

Together with my partners, we have developed the in-depth analytical techniques and technology that allows social media to play a major role in determining a plaintiff's credibility.
