Jodi McDougall

Biography

Jodi McDougall has spent her entire career representing insurers in complex coverage disputes.  She has extensive experience defending bad faith claims and counseling clients on avoiding such claims.  She primarily practices in Washington and Oregon, two states that provide a particularly hostile environment for insurers to operate.  She handles all types of insurance disputes including professional liability, environmental, maritime and general liability.  She enjoys working together with insurers to help them avoid and solve problems. 
 
Jodi currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cozen O’Connor and has been the Managing Partner of the Seattle office for the past 11 years.  She has been recognized as one of the top 50 women attorneys in Washington state by Super Lawyers.  She received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Southern California, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law. She studied the Law of the Sea and International Law at Cambridge University in England.
