Biography

Jeff Miragliotta is the managing partner of Kahana Feld's New York, New Jersey and Connecticut offices. Mr. Miragliotta has dedicated his more than fifteen year career representing insurance companies and self-insureds in insurance defense and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Miragliotta has encountered nearly every conceivable case and fact pattern, and thus can evaluate them quickly and accurately to determine their value and the appropriate defense strategy to pursue to resolve them efficiently and cost effectively. Mr. Miragliotta defends insurers and their insureds throughout New York and New Jersey in matters involving labor law, commercial automobile accidents, product liability and construction defect. His clients include electrical contractors, general contractors, construction managers and insurance brokers. He also has represented the city of New York and the county of Nassau in tort defense matters and has counseled insurance companies on coverage matters. Mr. Miragliotta has prevailed on appeals before the First and Second Departments of the New York State Supreme Court. He is experienced in all facets of litigation, handles the entire process: from inception through resolution, whether that involves motions practice, settlement, mediation, arbitration or trial. Mr. Miragliotta understands the strict parameters under which insurance company work, and regularly monitors firm metrics to ensure he adheres to carrier guidelines in every way. Prior to private practice, Mr. Miragliotta served as a law clerk to the Honorable Patricia Del bueno Clearly of the Superior Court of New Jersey, where he garnered invaluable experience researching and writing briefs, as well as in the courtroom.
