Chris has spent fifteen years acting as lead counsel in trials and appeals in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and across the Gulf South. His trial experience and dedication to his clients has earned recognition from Super Lawyers, membership in the New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law Class of 2014, and appointments to the faculty of Tulane Law School's cutting edge practicum programs. After graduating from law school, Chris clerked for Chief Judge Richard D. Mills of the United States Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges.
Chris represents clients in insurance coverage litigation including both first-party and third-party coverage disputes. He has represented clients in litigation arising out of first-party insurance claims including claims for property damage, business interruption, loss of rental income, and additional living expenses arising out of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, and Ike in both Louisiana and Texas. He has also represented property insurance carriers in a number of disputes involving property damage caused by fires and explosions as well as in the investigation of suspicious first party claims, fraud, and staged thefts.
Chris has represented third-party liability insurers in complex coverage litigation in state and federal court with a particular focus on environmental pollution, construction defect, employer's vicarious liability, excess insurance, premises liability, and auto liability claims.
Chris also routinely defends clients against negligence and intentional tort claims. His work includes the successful defense of insureds and insurers against assault and battery claims, medical negligence claims against long-term care providers, the defense of natural gas suppliers and underground pipeline contractors, and the defense of over-the-road truckers and shipping companies.
